Pattern Notes

This coaster is worked in continuous spiral rounds. Do not join with a slip stitch at the end of each round unless the pattern tells you to. Place a stitch marker in the first stitch of every round and move it up as you complete each new round. Keep your tension relaxed so your circle stays flat and soft.

  • Round 2: Work 2 single crochet into every stitch around. Place your stitch marker in the very first stitch of this round. (12 sc)
  • Round 3: *Work 1 single crochet in the next stitch, then 2 single crochet in the following stitch. Repeat from * around. (18 sc)

Work 1 slip stitch into the next stitch to smooth the final edge.

Beginner Tips

  • Use 100% cotton yarn (acrylic can melt under hot mugs).
  • Count stitches at the end of every round.
